The Accenture Technology Training team created a VR version of their course content and was seeking a way to promote the training in an email to 600,000 employees across the globe.
Working together, we wrote and produced a special effects video to inspire others to try the experience.
We held auditions to cast the video. Then we filmed the video with a two person crew in a conference room at the Dallas Accenture office.
We used a small green screen with tracking markers to replace the background of the shot and help us transition to the virtual world.
We wanted to capture the immersion of being in VR. In this shot we used a projector with video of the headset experience to paint a picture on the white headset.
We wanted to connect icons familiar to TQ users with the experience so I animated them in After Effects and then combined them in this cloud as we fly through space.
Using After Effects, I animated a smooth transition between the TQ and Accenture logo to wrap up the video.
I used Blender to combine the Unity game assets with the green screen footage on transparent planes. The result feels like magic as she transitions from the physical world to the virtual world in the headset.
With production complete, I worked with a composer and sound designer to create a perfectly timed cinematic sound track.
